iPET Network Level 3 Award in Hand Stripping

iPET Network Level 3 Award in Hand Stripping – Qualification Number 603/6813/5

£365 (1 day)

Hand stripping involves pulling out the dead outer coat (particularly popular in wired-haired breeds in pet grooming salons). The skill is performed by hand rather than cutting the hair with clippers or scissors. This allows a new coat to grow in, revealing a soft undercoat and makes a beautiful finish. It does not hurt the dog when performed correctly.

This 2 day course aims to give students hands on skills practice of hand stripping, perfect for an owner wishing to hand strip their own dog correctly or a student looking to gain a strong basis of the skills needed to hand strip dogs as part of a career in dog grooming.

This qualification has been developed by iPET Network.

“I found Pawsh Dogs an excellent place to train and Kelly’s expertise helped me with areas that I was struggling with, she gave me the time and co-operation that I needed. I would highly recommend Pawsh Dogs Grooming Studio as a training centre and would not hesitate in going back for advice or further training.”

Rachel - Student at Pawsh Dogs Training

“For anyone considering undertaking the Dog Grooming courses, I cannot recommend Kelly Byrne, owner of Pawsh Dogs highly enough. She is a fantastic tutor who has an obvious passion for what she does and is able to impart her knowledge to others in an easy-going, friendly manner. The course is also academic (it is not just how to wash a dog!) so it is essential that you can self motivate as there are several written assignments to do but Kelly is always on stand by with great advice and her ‘mock exams’ are legendary. Kelly’s mocks MORE than prepare you for the actual exam. The course is excellent value for money and even though I am now qualified, Kelly is still willing to help and encourage me when I need it. I recommend Kelly without hesitation to anyone wanting a career in dog grooming”

Angela - Student at Pawsh Dogs Training

“Kelly is a fabulous tutor; throughout 2 yrs. Kelly has taught me C & G L2 & C & G L3 Dog Grooming, which I happily passed with flying colours. The quality of the course never faulted, mock exam papers Kelly set up really did prepare you for your real exams & showed you where you needed to focus & study!
If you were unsure or had any questions Kelly was always happy to help.
Kelly is very passionate & professional within her work & I 110% highly recommend Kelly at Pawsh Dogs!”
